Security Officer

About the Role:

As a Security Officer at Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests, staff, and property. You will be responsible for patrolling hotel premises, handling security issues, and responding to emergencies. You’ll also assist with protecting guests' valuables, ensuring the overall safety of the resort, and supporting emergency evacuation procedures when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol the resort premises to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and hotel property.
• Protect guests' personal belongings and valuables.
• Respond to security alarms and emergencies, following established protocols.
• Assist in emergency evacuation procedures, ensuring guest and staff safety.
• Report any security concerns or incidents to management and follow up on actions taken.
• Provide a visible security presence to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to guests and staff.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• Certified in CPR or First Aid (certification from local authorities is an advantage).
• Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English, Dutch, Papiamento, and Spanish.
• Sound knowledge of safety, security protocols, and emergency evacuation procedures.
• Professional demeanor with a focus on guest safety and hospitality.
