Maintenance Storeroom Technician
About the Role:
Join Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort as a Maintenance Storeroom Technician, where you’ll play a dual role in maintaining our property’s facilities and managing our storeroom operations. In this critical position, you’ll ensure our hotel’s equipment, systems, and facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained while keeping our storeroom organized and fully stocked. Your work will directly contribute to a comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests and staff, supporting our commitment to exceptional hospitality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the hotel, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks
- Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies in the storeroom
- Organize and manage the storeroom to ensure easy access to resources for the maintenance team
- Coordinate procurement of supplies and equipment to support maintenance operations
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address potential issues
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols in all maintenance activities
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest and staff maintenance requests efficiently
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in maintenance is a plus
- Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment
- Fluency in English, Dutch, Spanish, and Papiamento
- Basic knowledge of maintenance systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
- Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues
- Proficiency in using basic tools and equipment for repairs and maintenance
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
