Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair operations at our resort. This role ensures that all physical structures, systems, and equipment are operational, safe, and compliant with industry standards. The ideal candidate will lead a team, manage projects, and implement sustainability initiatives to maintain the high standards of our property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all equipment, including HVAC, kitchen appliances, elevators, and fire safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and health standards.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules to prolong equipment life.
• Manage vendor and contractor relationships, including contract negotiations and quality assurance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and generate performance reports.
• Plan and execute capital improvement projects to enhance facilities and infrastructure.
• Implement eco-friendly and energy-saving initiatives to promote sustainability.
• Collaborate with other departments to address facility needs and support resort operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in hospitality.
• Fluency in English, Dutch, Spanish, and Papiamento.
• Expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of building codes and compliance standards.
