Food Expeditor

About the Role:
As a Food Expeditor (Expo) at Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant’s food service. Acting as the communication link between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, you’ll be responsible for maintaining quality control, presentation, and timely delivery of all food orders. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will ensure that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the communication link between the kitchen and front-of-house staff.
• Ensure food is prepared, plated, and delivered accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain quality control and presentation standards for all dishes.
• Coordinate the timing of food orders to ensure timely service.
• Inspect dishes before they leave the kitchen to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Assist in resolving any issues related to food orders or service.
• Work closely with chefs and servers to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a restaurant, food service, or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift trays, plates, and food items as needed.
• Quick and agile movement to keep up with kitchen demands.
• Fluency in English, Dutch, Papiamento, and Spanish.
