First Cook

About the Role:

As a First Cook at Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort, you’ll be an essential part of our kitchen team, preparing and cooking a wide range of dishes to delight our guests. Whether you’re working at Passions on the Beach or Horizons Lounge, your role will involve following established recipes, ensuring food quality, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and food standards.
• Ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Assist with inventory management and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols, ensuring compliance with HACCP guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.

Requirements:

• Culinary Diploma or relevant culinary training.
• 5 years of relevant experience is a plus.
• Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role.
• Ability to understand and speak English, Spanish, and Papiamento.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and temperature control.
• Familiar with HACCP standards.
• Flexible working hours, including nights and weekends.
